I kept searching under those words to find help but i got nothing. and the FaQ's and how to's didnt answer my Que.
I have 4 referalls this month thus far.
i purchased 80 credits and spent 50 on studiotraffic.
does that mean 25 referall credits are going to see studio traffics referall page to hopefully sign up??
im just kinda curious as to how it works. Even though its only been a 4 days or so. i havent gotten any referalls at ST and I just want to make sure that my thinking is along the same line as how this program works
but i did get 4 referals here in those day s

hi jbanaszek,
Thanks for your credit purchase, and I am sure that you will find the answers you seek here on this message board. The questions you ask have been asked and answered time and time again here on this board.
A. If you have set up your link properly, earned at least 1 credit by joining another persons program, and have credits invested in that program, your link will appear to people that are looking to join a program.
B. People join other peoples links for a multitude of reasons, but basically instinct will lean towards joining a link closer to the top of the list. (click on a link and youll see all the people promoting that particular link).
C. It may take a while to establish that you are a trustworthy upline, this will affect your rating, and then once your rating is higher, people will join your programs at a more frequent rate.
D. One way to increase your chance of getting someone to join your program is with a gold membership. This automatically puts you above all free members, increasing the chance someone will join your program. (Not to mention all the other benfits as well).
Hope this answers all, Jay

The trick is after you get them signed up, then to get that same referral to become an active referral. There is a difference, believe me.
You could have 12 signups and have none of them actually do anything with your opportunity, because all they wanted was credit so they could promote their own opp. It is a cycle that is going to be hard to defeat I think. But it is happening.

I know you wrote this message a long time ago but when I say im backlogged i really mean it.
Yes you are right, it is difficult to get a user who signs under you to become active. But if you look at alternative ways of getting referrals, GetRef still holds it's own compared to those methods.
There are sites that you pay 100 bucks and you get 100 referrals for whatever program you want. Basically you get one guy who takes 100 email addresses and signs up every one of them from the same computer. The result? a less than 1% active referral list.
I think that an accurate estimate for GetRef would be about 50% active referrals. Why? Because they are real human beings signing up for programs, not robots.
So when people ask me how long do I have to wait to get signups my gut reaction is bascially as long as it takes. Why? Because I am not in control of the people that are joining the programs, it's totally their choice to join or not join.
Thats why you as the Buyer need to do everything to 'sell' your program to make it interesting to the user who might be joining. I have done my best to give you all the tools necessary to do it, and you need to just use them.
You can write a really great description, and when people rank that description it goes to the top of the list. You can offer a bit more than the minimum amount of credits and it will be listed very high on the top 5 paying programs to join list. You can get your user rating as high as possible so that people will see that you are a trustworthy user to join under. You can buy a gold membership, support GetRef, and at the same time increase your standing within the GetRef community.
So yes, you need to do some work to get referrals.
Jay

I agree completely with what you are saying. I only had 1 referral for my program, after I signed up for GetRef I have 42 referrals. I couldn't have got them any other way.

Hi, I have a question .. as to how does this work .. I cant find the answer anywhere ? I have had many referrals that I credited .. before realising they didnt sign up as my downline.. and I lost money(credits)like a lot of people... I have numerous on hold at the moment and I have mailed them all telling them exactly what I expect before I give credit .. my question is this.. I read somewhere that there is a 72 hour window .. is that for them or me ? How long can they be on hold for ? Another user I saw wrote in the description you have 2 weeks to show you are active, is this ok? Can I wait that long before either accepting or declining credit ?? Sorry for the spanish inquisition but I would like to know before I lose credits again for no reason .. thanks .. in anticipation of a reply.

In 72 hours if you haven't accepted or declined a transaction, the person who made the claim can FORCE it to be accepted. You can NOT wait beyond the 72 hours if you want to maintain control.

If they force it they get the credits flat out, no more decisions and no recourse. You MUST decline before the 72 hours to save your credits.

So, say someone signs up on my site, is it alright to e-mail them and say hi or encourage them to be active and whatnot?
