Starting from the fact that a blog is an obligation for a freelancer and a company, anyone who wants to open one must discover whether or not they will love writing about their passion (and their work). It's natural that a professional loves to talk about his job: after all, he chose it, so he made his passion his job. Some people won't like the word "obligation". Some people think that today perhaps it is enough to be on Facebook and Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram and that's it. No, not for me. For me the blog still continues to be an essential tool for certain professions and certain work activities. Therefore excluding the work field, all other new bloggers will have to understand whether writing about their passion - about one of their passions - will be really pleasant or not.
I like to draw – at least when I feel like it – but I don't like talking about drawing. I really didn't know what to write. I am not an expert who can give advice on how to draw, nor do I find it inspiring to talk about my experience drawing humorous cartoons. Over 10 years ago I had a passion for speleology. I attended a course and for a few years I lowered Special Data myself - with anxiety and mental worries - into the caves of Lazio and Abruzzo. I thought it appropriate to open a "speleoblog" and tell my underground adventures. But then that blog died, partly because the passion waned and partly because in the end it didn't allow me to write continuously. I even toyed with the idea of starting a blog about the mountains, but then I told myself that I'm not that interested in talking about my excursions. In fact, I don't care at all.
The writing, however, was a revelation. «Penna blu» is the blog that has lasted the longest so far, going on for six and a half years now. The moral of the story is simple : a passion is not enough to bring out the blogger within us. Also because there might not be any blogger in us. 2 – Find a valid and winning motivation Do we really want a blog? And why? Starting again from the fact that some types of companies and some professionals already have a valid and successful reason to open a blog, all the others must instead find it, otherwise the blog will not prove to be the right choice and will end up closing within a short time. Do all companies and freelancers have to have a blog? For me no. Does a blog seem useful to you for a shoemaker or a plumber? Absolutely not. They will have to emerge online in another way. Does it seem useful for a company that produces toilet paper or paper napkins to have a company blog? Not for me, there are other ways to make yourself known on the web.
